started… On the 23rd of March 2009 I started my trainee ship at ASICS Europe in the “Lifestyle footwear design” department. Already quite into sneakers and a collector for some years, I couldn’t wait to dig into and study all the archive catalogues from the late 80’s to the mid 90’s and further. Luckely, already on my second day I got the chance to work on the ASICS Tiger (Lifestyle) collection for FW2010. My first ASICS GEL-LYTE III color way, in my first week was inspired by an old ASICS GEL-LYTE II advertisement from 1989, I found in the archive:

… next to the “Medieval Blue” Gel-Lyte III, which was based on a original color way, these two where added to the collection. Still holding it down due to the prime color-blocking and easy-going color way, featuring a classic mesh base with suede overlays.
